Jon Solomon A native of Denver, Jon started playing guitar and bass when he was 12 years old. He played in a few punk bands while in high school and in various bands throughout Northern and Southern California while he went to college from 1988-1995. In 1995, he moved back to Denver, where he studied jazz guitar with Dale Bruning, who also taught one of Jon's favorite guitar players - Bill Frisell. The sax playing of John Coltrane and Joe Henderson inspired him to start playing tenor and alto sax in '95 as well. While in New York from 2000-2006, he studied with David Fiuczynski, who Jon admired for his fearless guitar technique. Jon also assisted on the music supervision for nearly a dozen films and worked on eight film soundtracks while in New York. In 2006 he move back to Denver to escape the frenetic pace of NYC and get back into playing music again.
