To
All My Relations, I find myself at an interesting
point in life. Ever feel like an observer of your own existence? What I've recognized
is so many gifts can come from this place. You get to take absolutely nothing
personally while experiencing it all.
On September
26Th of 2005 I was in a car "accident". I was rear-ended while
waiting for the light to change. Little did I know that the light wasn't the
only
thing about to change.
As
the ambulance carted me off to the hospital I thought - there are no accidents,
so I wonder what this will bring. I mentioned that to the young woman who hit
me. If I saw her today I would give her the warmest embrace and say thank you.
You see that day was a gift. In the "inconvenience" of having my car
totaled and my shoulders torn Angels were watching over me. | |
The MRI findings showed that in the right shoulder the
tendon was completely torn from the bone. No surprise to me. But in the left shoulder
there was an additional, what they call an "incidental" finding...I
had a bone tumor embedded in my shoulder. Now, the good news is it was benign.
The not so good news was, typically, if you have a bone tumor that means there
are other things going on in your body. So five surgeries later I'm starting to
feel much better. On this journey I've met so
many Angels. I just wanted to say thank you to them all, and to remind you keep
your eyes and ears (You might not always see them) open to yours.
So thank
you Lucy, Marie and Stephenie. Thank you Paula, Deni and Amy. Thank you Teresa,
and thank you Kelly and Stacy. Thank you Jennifer and Scott. Thank you Becky,
and
thank
you
Brett, and thank you Rick. Thank you to my family. Thank you Antoinette, Li,
Dean, John and thank you Tracy. Thank you to all of you who have touched my
life in
such a profound way. I am humbled and blessed.
